Am Sam i have traveled through India 4 times and what if i cant speak about the other side then i don't need to call my self a global citizen! "India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most artistic materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only!"BUT this is the other side :-, follow my article what i saw! great special thanks to my friend Mukhtar Ahmad
That is when the disturbing reality of India’s poverty getting concentrated and chronic emerged.
Causes of Poverty in India. High population growth rate is one of major reasons of poverty in India. This further leads to high level of illiteracy, poor health care facilities and lack of access to financial resources. Also, high population growth affects the per capital income and makes per capital income even lower.but still this cant be the main reason #tome the Govt has a big role to play but some times a blind eye is turned!
The next generation of most poor households are also poor; in fact, the intensity and distress is greater. Also, the new generation is without access or with restricted access to livelihood resources such as land, forest and water.
With an apology to biologists, poverty has arguably become genetic. If caste and religion were two default hereditary burdens, poverty is the next.
Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty: 68.8% of the Indian population lives on less than $2 a day. Over 30% even have less than $1.25 per day available - they are considered extremely poor.
It is apparent that children are the primary victims of poverty and its consequences and absolute ... to safe water, a healthy sanitation environment is desirable. This can be done
Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India.Out of these, 24,470 were committed by someone known to the victim (98% of the cases). but we can change the story by advocating for the fight against these acts.
Children can be seen on the streets across all cities in India. They are part of the crowd. Often we do not even notice them. They seem to be invisible. It is “normal” to see unaccompanied minors in public places. They may be alone or with their families; they may sleep on sidewalks, shelters or in dwellings. The fact that links them all is that they spend most of their time on the streets. Living on the streets makes childhood take upon an altogether different meaning for these children.
Street children in Indian cities are the result of the prolonged agrarian distress in rural areas leading to forced migration to the cities....... we an save the next generation and making the generation of now a better breathing home. #salutetothosewhoinspirechange #salutetoNgosthat offer help #salutetoIndians #Salutetouandme #Ubuntuism is alive
